Advice on Immagration required for SA to the UK

Post by vaughanleach » Mon Nov 04, 2013 9:30 am

Hi

My wife, son and I want to emigrate from South Africa to the UK. My wife is a British citizen and hold a valid British passport and was born in Britain. She has a number of family members there. My son and I are South African Citizens with South African passports. What is the process that my son (9 years old) and I need to follow in order to emigrate with my wife.

Vaughan

I assume the child is British by descent.

See spouse leave and the EEA route.

Thanks very much. My son is legally adopted and carries our surname could we apply for a british passport for him?

It may be best to establish how the wife obtain her british Citizen.
