Advice needed for filing for British Citizenship

Post by suneetkapoor » Fri Nov 05, 2010 6:07 pm

I am currently on ILR which was approved under HSMP JR category on March 27th, 2010. I complete 5 yrs on April 15th 2011 but 12 months of ILR finishes on 27th March, 2011. My question is when can I apply for Naturalisation? Is it 27 March, 2011 or April 15th 2011?

My second question is my who joined me later completes 5 yrs in June 3rd, 2011. Can she apply with me as a dependant for Naturalisation like during ILR or she will have to complete 5 yrs + 12 months of ILR stamping?

Thanks in advance !
Suneet.

15-Apr-2011.

Your spouse may apply for naturalisation through either of the following routes:
Route 1 - Complete 5 years in the UK and upon fulfilling standard requirements apply for naturalisation.
Route 2 - Once you naturalise and are granted citizenship (naturalisation certificate), your spouse may then apply for naturalisation as spouse of British citizen as and when requirements for spouse /civil partners are met.

Consider waiting till 03-Jun-2011, and submit a joint application to save money.

Advice on MN1

Post by Ricco » Thu Oct 09, 2014 5:31 pm

I AM APPLYING FOR MY KIDS UNDER SECTION 1(3) OF FORM MN1 AS I HAVE ILR SINCE JUNE LAST YEAR.
MY QUESTION IS SINCE MY KIDS WERE BORN IN THE UK DO I STILL NEED TO COMPLETE SECTION 2: RESIDENCE REQUIREMENT ON THE APPLICATION FORM.

Thanks
