advice Needed

Post by knbabu_99 » Wed Jul 19, 2006 4:57 am

HI ,
I need advice based on your experience. Currently I hold a HSMP and a valid VISA which expires in Dec 15,2006 and staying in India. I am jobs in UK and applying from India. Most of the recruiters are not interested in me because of presence in India. In order to get a job in UK, I am planning to travel sometime in September. I can only travel in September as I need to get released from my current job.

1.Do you guys advise me to travel in September or want me to come next year a with a Fresh Visa. I solicit your expertise in these matters.

2. If I had to travel next year, does the entry into UK with the current Visa help in anyway. If so, I can travel for a week or two.

I appreciate your much needed help.

Cheers,
Naresh

Naresh,

If your visa is expiring in Dec, r u still in India??
You shd. stay in UK as much as possible...
Abt. Jobs, market slows down from Sep and remains slow till Jan next year..
So best time to go is July-Aug ...

Abt. Interview, recruiter wants to meet you personally, once they come to know that u r not in Country, they dont even call u..

So you ahve to be in UK to get a job in UK

Hope this helps
Ashish

Advice on Timing

Does every one agree on this ? Does it mean that I need to travel only in January next year. Does any travel with the present Visa help in any way ?

I don't understand what do you mean by travelling in Jan next year...if your HSMP will expire then how will u obatin the new visa...

For your travel plans in Sep, I would encourage you to come to UK and look for a job, it's always worth trying!!..one of my friend was in a similar situation but he did not wanted to risk his job and come to UK but now repenting his decision as it is not very difficult to get through a job...don't know which job sector u come frm but i m talking about Finance & Accounts
