Is it dangerous to go back to your home country and apply from there for a spousal visa? I'm afraid you can't just regularize ur stay just by getting married and filling out some paperwork. The home office is not that kind.lola56uk wrote:About to get married soon and wanted to know what formi will need to use to regularize my stay.
Brief background, i am an overstayer applied for COA to get married. i have been with partner for 7 year plus and been in UKfor 16 yrs plus now. HO has been pushing me about for the last 2 years and have not approved application based on 14 year rule.
Needed COA as my girlfriend is British, but don't know what form to use to fill out once we are married.
Thanks in Advance .........
I am sure if you hadn't tried to circumvent the law and overstay then they may have been more competantlola56uk wrote:Thanks Guys for the info.
I have been entitled to the 14 year visa roughly 4 years ago , it took home office 2 years to tell me the form had changed and they could not deal with my application. furthermore i submitted a new application thru MP and they wrote to him recently that they will not be looking at the application until 2014.
Now thats a very long time , like other members i am just wasting my youth away , no job , no papers to work and sign on monthly.
so even when i get married , i can not apply for any Visa over here and i will have to go back home, very risky as i have not been back home in over 18 yrs now and would be a stranger in my own land. Amazing !!!!!!!!!!
The HO is truly a competent government organization.
Can you say what country you are from please?i will have to go back home, very risky as i have not been back home in over 18 yrs now and would be a stranger in my own land.
Any stated reason for that? Are they suggesting that there was no proof of you being in the UK before 2000? Just wondering why UKBA will not look at the current ILR application for 4 years?they wrote to him recently that they will not be looking at the application until 2014.
Exactly they said that initially , despite me providing them with reference letter from Primary school, Secondary School , University plus charter reference from my Piano tutor , Neighbors of 10 yrs, things like that plus even showed them bank account statements. i am Nigerian.John wrote:Can you say what country you are from please?i will have to go back home, very risky as i have not been back home in over 18 yrs now and would be a stranger in my own land.
