Advice: TWES to Spousal Visa

Post by homestyle » Tue Feb 10, 2009 4:22 pm

I am currently working under a TWES visa that will expire in a few months.
In the mean time I have purposed and am getting married before my TWES visa expires. (I am getting married to a British citizen, I have never overstayed or broken any rules)

I just wanted to clarify a few points:

The Vicar has agreed to merry us...being a Church of England we should be able to merry without further "permission" ?

What is the procedure to change my status to a Spousal Visa?

After I get my spousal visa would I then be able to work toward citizenship?

Cheers
HS

See also Marriage in UK.

Currently, after marriage,
you may switch to FLR(M) (285),
satisfy the KOL requirements,
and subsequently apply for SET(M) (288).
