Advie re-obtaining stamp 4

Hello, I will soon be marrying my Australian fiance and applying for a partnership visa (stamp 4). I was hoping for some advice on my experience.

She arrives in 3 days and we marry on March 18th. My understanding was that we would then go to our local immigration officer (Roscommon) who would stamp us on a stamp 4 assuming all documentation is OK.

However I just spoke to him on the phone, and he said that since she will likely be stamped on on a tourist visa on entry, he will not be able to stamp her. She would require some different type of clearance at passport control.

He advised me to either:

Email the 'spouse of an irish national' unit showing them all of my documentation (birth certs, proof of marriage, passports etc), who should then respond in 2 weeks either asking for more information or a letter of approval.

Leave the country after marrying and return - he said that the stamp we receive re-entering the country will allow her to receive a stamp 4 at his immigration office. He said that with this, there is a (very small) risk that she will be refused entry.

Our hope from reading online and seeking legal advice was to receive the stamp 4 quickly, but my worry is that going through the 'spouse of an irish national' unit will take a long time, while re-entering the country brings a small risk of refusal.

Is it possible that if my fiancee states her intention to marry me and apply for a spousal visa upon entry, she will be stamped appropriately (not on a tourist visa) and we can go directly to the immigration officer?

I would appreciate any advice on this, and I apologise if this account is a bit messy as I just received a lot of new information on this matter.
