After 5 year work permit???

Hi there,

To start with, my friend's work permit is getting expired soon. He got the permit from his company and later after few months time he went back to his home country for his marriage. When he came back to UK, unfortunately, he lost his job. So, he worked with another company with the same work permit that he had before. Now, my question is this ---> Is it possible for him to apply for a permanent residency in UK? or would there be a problem. He is planning to go back to his home country before his permit expires. Can he apply from back home for a UK permanent residency?

If he did not make a change of employment application, then there may be a problem.

What is the immigration status of his wife?

He must be in the United Kingdom to apply for ILR.

He cant work with another company with the same work permit?????
