Age Points

Post by kans75 » Sun Sep 04, 2011 1:58 pm

Dear All,
I got my hsmp approval in 2007 applying in the UK. However, was refused by the ECO, India. I appealed for my case and was finally allowed in Sep 2008 and was in the IGS cateory(now PSW) that time. I got my new hsmp re-print letter and successfully allowed on 1st Apr 2009 for Tier 1 General. I claimed 5 points for my age in 2007.

My query is:
Am i eligible to claim for the same 5 points next year during my extension application next year?

All gurus, please advise me.

Many thanks.

Regards
K

Hi Sushdmehta,
Thanks for your reply. I read your link and also the guidance notes which states the points being same during initial and extension time of tier1 general application.

My tier 1 general initial application went on appeal in sep 2007 and got successful in sep 2008 and was in IGS category during the result time.
I changed over to tier 1 general in apr 09 under transitional arrangements.

I assume that i am still eligible to claim the same 5 points during my extension time next year even though, it was a long appeal which got approved in 2009 as they don't reassess the situation.
