Air tickets

Post by JayGee » Wed Sep 01, 2004 8:41 am

Kindly advise if a return ticket to the UK is a requirement or would a single journey ticket suffice on HSMP? :D

I don't think it is required, but I got a return just in case. Anycase I wasn't willing to spend Christmas in the cold UK, so I going back to South Africa for a 10 day holiday in December. I think you wil find a return ticket is not that more expensive than a single.

Thanks Bugmaster and TGS

I keep forgetting about the search function - darn!!

Nevertheless, I got booked on a R6300 flight open for year return ticket. So thinking along the lines of something cheaper...just to score more just in case - you never know... :D

Anyway TGS - did you easily get a job or did you battle?

Booked and paid for a return journey - only a R1000 more - so if I want to come back I save R5000 - much better option.

Tx Guys.

JayGee,

Actually I had a job offer before I received my VISA. I got a job offer in March (was in the UK as tourist), hop on the plane back, resigned, waited 30 days (in this 30days I requested urgent treatment), hop on the plane and started the next day.

You might be asking what I do for a living: I'm Quantitative Credit Risk Analyst (lot of maths and stats things), have a Ph.D in Mathematical Programming and then also have a global professional qualification in Financial Risk Management.
