Hi, I posted on here about the working holiday visa and got some good replies so would like to say thanks for that!
My question this time is about the ancestry visa.
My grandmother was English (Both her parents were born in England), but they were living abroad when they had her, so although she had a British passport she technically wasn't born in the UK.
My father was entitled to a British passport but never took it up. My aunt took hers up and lives here.
I know the rules for ancestry state that the grandparent has to have been *born* in the UK, but someone told me that they know of these rules being bent slightly. Is this true? Or will they just look at my application and decline it instantly?
Thanks alot
