US and Canada Visitor Visa

Hello,

we have visitor visa for both Canada and USA (multiple entry). Can we stay in USA for 6 months and 6 months in canada each year and continue this for the next 10 years?. Or are we to go out of north america before reentering to either canada or USA for a period of 6 months?. Please let us know.
