The Home Office has written to the Immigration Law Practitioners Association saying

“The Home Office’s ambition is to move to a wholly digital system, where all individuals will have online access to their immigration status information by the end of 2024. In line with that ambition, and to avoid physical documents remaining in circulation beyond that point in time, which may cause confusion for individuals and those checking immigration status, the Department has taken the decision to continue short dating all BRPs to no later than end 2024.”
