another Dependant of Workpermit question

Hi
does the dependant of workpermit holder (e.g spouse) have to pass the life in UK test as well as the workpermit holder for ILR?

Normally, spouses also have to satisfy the Knowledge of language and life in the United Kingdom (196D(iv)) requirements before applying for ILR.
