any chance of geting british nationality

My case is a bit complecated, the thing is
My father in law was born in keniya on 1959 when keniya use to be the colony of britain and ruled by britain. . .

He moved to pakistan in 1969, without geting keniya or british passport or birth certificate. And nw he is got pakistani passport. And his all kids were born in pakistan including my wife. . .

Can some one please advise, is it possible for him to apply for british passport? And how to take the case forward

Where in Kenya was he born? Part of Kenya was a Protectorate, not a Colony.

Where were his parents and grandparents born?

When were his own children born?

I m nt 100% sure where in keniya, but i think in naroby, but i wil keep update the exact city name
