Anyone know about Tier 1 visas

Hi,

I have been here legally for 5 years (WHM + 3 years WP) and still have to wait 2 more years for ILR. I am extremely bored and really want to go contracting again.

Does anyone know when the Tier 1 changes are coming in? Because my work took advantage of my need for a Work Permit my salary is less than the £40k threshold for HSMP despite the position being at a level well above that. To make it worse they made the change to make HSMP easier for under 28s 3 days before my 28th birthday! agghh!!

So if anyone has any info on when the Tier 1 changes may be implemented you may do my sanity a great deal of help!!!

There is no threshold for HSMP. Dependent upon a person's circumstances it is possible to get enough points for HSMP without getting any points for earnings.

Or is it just that for you, no earnings points equals not enough points for HSMP?

Yeah, I only get 15 for my degree and 25 for experience.
