Appeal process for refused Settlement Visa

Post by ilan112 » Wed Sep 15, 2010 7:18 pm

Hello All..will try to keep my circusmstances as brief as possible. I am a UK citizen. I married my Serbian wife in July of this year and we immedietley applied for a spouse visa. Our visa was rejected on the 9th September on account that me being the sponser would not have sufficent means to support my wife even though I provided ample documentation that we would not be dependant on state funds. We also provided what I felt was a very detailed account of our relationship including pictures together, letters and email correspondance. Without going into all the intricate details of why the ECO felt I was not in a position to support my spouse, I was just wondering if its better for me to have representation at the appeal hearing or is it possible to overturn a decision if I act as a representative myself. I am very unsure at this stage of what type of docs I should provide for the appeal? Any help would be much appreciated.
