Application Fees Payment Fastest Method ?

Hi,

I understand that for the application to get processed under the Old rules i.e. before 6th April, British High Commission should receive the fees before 6th april along with the application. If we take a Standard Chartered Bankers cheque and submit it tomorrow i.e. 31st March, how does it work, will it be immediately considered as paid to the British High Commission or it will have its own processing time and if late, processing of the application can come under new rules.

Will paying at VFS directly makes it fast?

Please suggest.
