BC application question

Post by K2004 » Mon Sep 05, 2005 11:03 pm

hello,

I am planning to apply for BC on on November the 10th , now i hear that i need an englsih test and britishness test? I have a Master degree from UK.. and have been working here for 8 years..

can anyone tell me if i need any tests?? and do you have to book them in advance?

also can I keep my passport if i use NSS, or its beeter to send it? will it slow down the application?

i checked this link, and it made me confused .... IND announcement about Citizenship Tests

Many thanks

K2004, your post clearly provides a link to the relevant IND webpage. So you will see that the test ... compulsory for naturalisation applications submitted on or after 1st November .... is not just to test your English but about Citizenship in the UK.

Simply any naturalisation application submitted on or after 1st November that fails to provide proof that the test has been passed, or the course completed, will be promptly returned.

How to book the test? I don't think that has been made clear yet.

You say you will apply for naturalisation on 10th November. Why that date? When did you get your ILR? Was there an enormous delay in your ILR being granted?

Thanks John,

it's just a bad luck, I was given my ILR on 10 Novemebr 2004, I am worry that if i apply for this test, I will have to wait for 2 month (like driving test),
also anyone know if there is a mock up test somwehre? i am confident of my english, and the day to day British life, but what if they asked me some History/Monarch questions??? i know more about Eastenders than Polictics..
god help us.
