application sent to DC

hi all,

well i want to understand why the consular had to send my application to dc for review for visitor visa.

well i applied for a visitor visa becaue i have inteviews for postgradute residency program. whn i met with the consular and gave her all my papers and the support and invitation letters. she told me that my papers must go to Dc for review . and i really don't know the reason . other guys i know gor there visa the same day. she also told me it would take 5 days and it beet 2 weeks now and i hat to reschudle the interviews and they gave me a paper saying that i should not contact the embassy and they will contact me when needed. any seggustions, any ideas about my seguation ?
