BC Application. No sickness insurance. What are my options?

Post by sthassek » Wed Nov 26, 2014 8:44 pm

Here's my situation:
Came to UK from Poland in 09.2005.
Worked 01.2006 - 07.2007.
Since then I quit my job and gambling is my sole source of income.
Gambling winnings are not taxable so I'm officially considered unemployed.
I don't have and never had a 'comprehensive sickness insurance'.

What are my options now? Can I still apply for BC, or need to get insurance first and wait another 5 years?
Also, since I've been technically unemployed for past 7 years, do I have to prove I'm 'self-sufficient'?

Thanks for any help

What I'm asking is this: Do I need a Comprehensive Sickness Insurance before making an BC application, or am I supposed to have had it for past 5 years?
