Application week count - from app submission or biometrics?

Simple question: is the wait calculated from the date you submitted the application, or the date you submitted biometrics?

As someone approaching the six month mark, I want to get this right.

We don't know for sure - as some applications seem to get processed quite quickly there are guesses that this is from the application date but we don't know how quickly caseworkers are assigned. You can follow up when you hit the 6 month mark from when you submitted the application in any case, it won't affect the outcome. Be aware you will likely receive a template answer.
