Applied Yesterday- Made a small mistake in Covering letter

Post by hsmp_apr2010 » Sat May 08, 2010 8:47 am

Hi,

I am out country applicant and applied from VFS- Mumbai yesterday. Today I realised that I did a small typing mistake in my covering letter for Previous earning section.
In my covering letter I have salary explanation table with headings for Gross Salary, Net Salary etc.

For the month of March 2010 the net salary figure in the table is not matching with the net salary figure in my march payslip/bank statement. Although all the entries in my payslip are matching the bank statements.

I am really worried on this. Please seniors how do I rectify this mistake? Can I send an explanation to British High Commission on this typing mistake?
What address should I send this letter to?

Regards,
R

Gurus, seniors . please can you provide your suggestions..

I think I have the following options.
I can prepare a covering letter explaining my clarification. Then

Should I post this letter to British High Commission Mumbai directly.
OR
should I personally visit the Mumbai BHC office and hand it over to them
OR
Should I personally visit the Mumbai VFS office and ask them to send this letter to BHC?

OR
Should I sit back and relax as there is no discrepancy in my Bank statements and payslips.

My application has already been forwarded to BHC.

Do they normally accept any additional documents after they receive the application.

look dude .. just sit back and relax
it wont make any difference
case wrkr will compare ur salary slips to ur bank statements
cover letter makes a difference when u want to explain anything that might confuse case worker
so dnt wrry if ur case is clear u will get the visa

there is no clause which asks for cover letter

just wait for result ;)
wish u Good Luck !!!!
