Applying directly with company

Hi,
I remember posts from some senior members here sating that applying directly with companies is more effective. For the benefit of new comers to UK market, I request experienced members to post name of those companies (if forum rule permits to do so)

the companies (who recruit direct) have on their website the facility to apply / register your cv

in some companies they are quite actively used.
and you should have an idea of the companies in your field (could get itonline anyway)
