Applying for Family Visitor for Parents -- Help Required

Post by sham111 » Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:30 pm

Hi All,

Need some help in regards to family visit visa for my parents from India for 2 months for the birth of my first child..
The visa application submission has changed to online only..
Here are the few question that need to answered if you could plz help in resolving it..
1. My parents does not have a surname in there passport but online form requires one, so is it ok to put NA in the surname field..(NA -- Not Applicable)
2. Do i have to send separate covering letter for each of them in regards to partially sponsorship.. or one is sufficient..
3. My parents are sponsoring for there travel.... i will sponsor for Food and accommodation l.. So do i have to send them my bank statement and rental documents will that be sufficient.. Plz advice..
4. My Mother is house wife and does not have a fixed income is that ok to show my fathers income and property documents instead...
5. I Have just have £1000 in bank account and they have close to £3000 will that be sufficient...
6. I was reading the post the they have to show strong ties with home country...My father is pensioner - A letter stating that he has to present every 2 months to collect his pension would be sufficient or any other document necessary...

I would be great help if you guys can answer and advise accordingly...

Many Thanks...

I am going to try and answer as many questions as I can. Some I really cannot but I will answer as many as I can (that I know)
1. Dont know.
2.Dont know.
3.Yes you will. You must also explain to them how the accommodation is going be arranged. Are they going to be staying at your place? If so you must go to a solicitor and get documents relating to your house
4.Remember that showing a house owned in the country your mother/father is in, is a form of strong econmic ties. So yes I would! Also income is a good idea too.
5.That should be fine.
6.I would also include this as well as their house documents. that will double up on their econmic ties and the immigration officer I dont belive could dispute this.

Hope this helps. :)
