Hello all, I have to say been browsing this forum today and it is so very useful! great work and thanks all!
I have a slight Dilemma, wondering if anyone has any opinions on it..
I entered the UK on Ancestry in September 2004, since then I have lived continuously in the UK without any significant gaps. Due to the change in laws I was granted a 5 year extension in 2008.
I will be applying for ILR very soon and hopefully the same day service, immediately after completing the life in the UK test.
I have been in continuous employment with the same employer since late 2006 however I am about to commence full time postgraduate study this September because of which I am having to leave my current employment at the end of this month.
My question is, would this in anyway affect my ILR application since I will no longer be in active employment? I am able to submit my P60's as well as payslips + a letter confirming my employment over the last four years.
Also, as part of the ILR application would I need to re-submit the ancestry documentation? e.g. birth certificates etc
Many thanks guys!
