Applying for ILR on SET (O) Form under 'Other Catgeory'

Post by green_express » Thu Feb 10, 2011 12:03 pm

Have recently submitted an application under the 'Other purposes or reasons not covered by other application forms' as Wife has just completed 6 years of DL.

Has anyone else had experience of applying via this method recently keen to know outcome and time taken for a decision by UKBA.

Also it says on the UKBA website that if you apply under this method you are exempt from needing a LIFE IN THE UK TEST, but if you decide to apply for British Citizenship you will require one ?

Submitted via Postal application to Durham office.

Dear All,

Have received back today Wife's Passport with Indefinite leave to Remain.

Submitted in Early Feb, received back in Mid March.

Now hoping to apply for British Citizenship asap, as eligible to do so.

Thank you to everyone for help and advice.
