Dear immigration experts,
I have filled the online form for naturalisation and I have now I have been presented with a list of documents. One of the documents is -
Ecctis letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched
I applied my tier 1 visa in 2009 and gained my ILR in 2015. I never had to show Ecctis or NARIC letter before. I have M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur which was in the list of universities accepted as providing instructions in English medium. My questions is - has anything changed requiring Ecctis letter. Will there be an issue if I don't provide the letter as I never had to provide before? I was given ILR which is only possible when I qualify English requirement so that itself is evidence that I qualify.
On a side note, Trinity college SELT B1 test is cheaper than getting Ecctis letter. If absolutely necessary, is it not better to do the english test?
Thanks,
Faiz
