Applying for PSW

Hi all,

I am trying to apply for PSW, and hope that I am able to get some guidance from you guys. I am aware that I am require to have £800 at all time in my bank account, but this month (May) my bank account have been used fraudulently, resulting in my bank account £150 less then the requirement. My student visa is expiring this coming Oct 2009, which means I am able to apply using May, June, July bank statement or June, July, August's bank statement. But I am worried that by sending on the later will result in my passport being expired.

Question
1) If I am able to proved that my bank account is able to maintain £800 but only that fraud case, do you guys think I am able to get over it?
2) How long do I need to send in the application before my passport expires?
3) I read from a newspaper that I had to update my address at the police station every time I relocate, and they will check if my application addressed is the same with the one recorded in the police department. How true is that?

Your visa expires in Oct 2009 so do not worry about £150 fraud as you will need to show Jul-Sep statements.

You can apply 28 days before your visa expires.

Not sure about reporting police.

U can renew your passport now cuz its better to do it in advance.

U can still apply provided u get a letter from your bank about the incident and describe everything in your cover letter.

Officially it should not be more than three months.
