Applying for tier1 from WP - Passport & Bank statement i

I am in UK on WP and planning to apply for tier 1 by this month end.

I have all the required documents but have two simple queries if anyone can help:

1.My passport has expired in last december.We can get it renewed within one year after expiry. It does have valid WP FLR visa though and even that was stamped after expiry of my passport. Now will there be any problem while applying for Tier 1 due to expired passport. Will Home office accept it for stamping.

2. My salary slips and bank statements doesnt have my full first name on it. It has first letter of first name and full last name. Is that a problem?
