Applying for visitor visa for my mother

Post by jimmymcad » Mon May 12, 2025 3:27 pm

Hi everyone,

On behalf of my wife:applying from pak for my mothet visit visa again.

My mother was granted a uk visitor visa before but she could not come for a sudden death in her daugher in law family.

Now she is applying again and i am fully sponsoring her. This time she does not have any bank statement to show saving that she can access directly as the joint account with my father got closed because of my father's death.

Someone told that you can mention you have savings in cash around 2 lac pkr. And she can use this as dirct access for money in need. And we can attach photo of her with money, which seems little odd to me. That is why asking here what should I do in this regards.

Other than this we cant show anything. If someone guide me if this is right approach?

She does have two properties in her name and also i as sponsor having good amounts of saving so i can fully sponsor her.

I have submitted her application and now it is the time to upload all documents. Can someone please guide us if what should I do, anything to update in cover letter for this?

And one more query: I made an estimate amount of 4000£ that i will support her during her 15 days trip in the application includes her ticket, travelling, fooding, shoppings etc. Honestly i have good savings and i thought my mom would do shopping here and there but i did mention this is approx could be more or less.

I cant change the appplication as i mentioned there 4k, but i am going to submit all documents very soon with cover letter. What in the cover letter I should mention. If someone guide?

Apologies for long msg. Thanks in advancd

That is why asking here what should I do in this regards. Only evidence what you have. She got the visa before, it would be simplified now.

Other than this we cant show anything. If someone guide me if this is right approach? Use your documents as sponsor.

She does have two properties in her name and also i as sponsor having good amounts of saving so i can fully sponsor her. That's fine

I have submitted her application and now it is the time to upload all documents. Can someone please guide us if what should I do, anything to update in cover letter for this? Just say it as it is

And one more query: I made an estimate amount of 4000£ That's a lot, but understandable.that i will support her during her 15 days trip in the application includes her ticket, travelling, fooding, shoppings etc. Honestly i have good savings That would be key to this amount and i thought my mom would do shopping here and there but i did mention this is approx could be more or less.

I cant change the appplication as i mentioned there 4k, but i am going to submit all documents very soon with cover letter. What in the cover letter I should mention Whatever you think you need to explain. If someone guide?

Mother in law visa refused - urgent help

Post by jimmymcad » Thu May 29, 2025 10:50 am

Hi all,

My mother in law visa has been refused on the ground that she did not visit last time, when visa was granted and the reason we provided is not sastisfactory enough.

My mother in law was granted last year, but she did not travel because of the sudden death of her daughter in law mothers. We mentioned this reason when we applied this time, but they refused that reason is not sastisfactory. Please can someone help. My mother in law has closed relationship with the daughter in law's mother and she did not travel, because there were lot of things she was handling after this.

How should we proceed, should we challenge the decision? If we cannot challenge, can we reply, please if someone can help. thanks

PS: I will provide full reason here as soon as I get more detail from them.

I look forward to hearing from you.

It would be nice to get the full story first, by pasting the refusal letter. But obviously, removing personal details and identifiers.

Could you please remove this post. VISA is granted, it was a prank made up by my brother in law... apologies.
