Applying for a UK Visitor Visa for step daughter

Hi I'm looking for some starting guidence please.

I am a UK National and would like my step daughter a Thai National who lives in Thailand to come and stop with us for a few months.

Can I apply for the UK Visitor visa on her behalf?

She will stop with us in our home and we will provide for all her travel and living costs.

Yes you can sponsor her, even help fill the form. You can open the door for her, but she'll need to walk in by herself.

How old is she?
What does she do?
Where is her dad?

This little questions would play a significant role in the visa approval process.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

How old is she? She is an Adult (24 years)
What does she do? Works in a hotel
Where is her dad? Father lives in Thailand

She requires no parental approval obviously. However, she needs to prove that she's comfortable and would be going back to Thailand once visitation is over. Hence, 6 months bank account, 6 months statement, probably letter from employer showing that she would be on annual leave at the time.

No, travel tickets are not required to apply.

The HO actually warns at various points not to make travel arrangements till you have the visa/outcome of the application.
