Appointment reschedule

Hi,
I have booked standard appointment for my wife and kid's visa on 4th of May in VFS Hyderabad.
I have sent some documents through courier expected delivery was by 1st of May, but now the courier service says may or May not be delivered.
So can I reschedule the appointment to some other day,is there any specific no of days as cut off to reschedule? I mean can I wait till Friday(1st may) and then reschedule if the docs won't reach?

Do they charge anything for rescheduling?
