apprenticeship for one with spouse visa

HI There!
I am 21 years old and have being living in the UK since March 21st of 2013. I came to the UK with the spouse visa and I wanted to know if I am eligible to do apprenticeship in a college without having to pay or should I pay the full amount for the apprenticeship course in any field or I cannot do apprenticeship at all.

I am unaware if it is categorized as public funds and I will not be able to claim or if its under the category of those public funds I can claim.
I have got some qualifications in my country which isn't recognized therefore I need to do it in the UK in order to start working.
please advice me in this matter.

It will depend on the training provider and their requirements as to whether or not you are eligible (due to funding). In order to access training and further education as a 'home student' you need to have been in the UK for 3 years without any immigration restricitons.. i.e ILR. So you probably wont qualify given that you are still on a spouse visa. With most courses there is the option for international students to enrol and pay the relevant fees, however apprenticeships are quite specific in regards to funding so that option may not be available.
