hi guys,

though I have gained many useful knowledge from this forum yet i have one doubt which i kept asking many times and got different replies. The question is:

I am a tier 1 general migrant. i want to call my gf from india to uk in order to get married. Can I do that?


What are he funds required to apply for dependent???

as far as I know, you cannot do that as she isn't your dependent and not married to you and you haven't got relevant documents i.e: marriage certificate to prove that.

Why not you go back, get married and then you can bring her here easily.

If I go to India for 15 days leave and get married and make certifiate from court in one day and apply the very next day, will that be genuine?
about how much time it generally takes for the issue of dependent visa???

1. Yes. That would work. But court certificate might take longer than one day.
2. Dependent visa may arrive in 3-4 weeks depending on BHC workload.

Can we apply from any VFS office. I mean I am from delhi and will be get married in delhi but as i applied for myself from pune, I would like to apply for my wife from Pune also.
will it be ok??

If your partner is in Delhi than I think you have to apply from Delhi BHC.
