Asking for available options to stay in the UK

Post by VRS » Wed Jul 03, 2024 11:54 pm

Hello everyone,

I need some advice regarding an immigration issue.

I'm currently in the UK on a dependent visa, while my husband is on a student visa. He arrived in January 2023, and I joined him in June 2023. Unfortunately, I became a victim of domestic violence and filed a complaint with the UK police. My husband was arrested and is now out on bail, and we are living separately. I hold an Indian passport.

His visa, and consequently mine, is valid until September 2024. However, I want to stay in the UK independently and need advice on my options.

I have heard about the domestic violence victim visa.

Could anyone provide guidance on how I can proceed with this option or suggest any other possible routes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Vishu

Unfortunately, the Immigration rules are unhelpful.

Can you find some employer to sponsor you for work permission?
