can an asylum seeker still waiting for decision apply for a spousal visa if eligible? My partner is just got his british passport and I haven’t heard from home office since my first interview regarding my Asylum application. So we thinking if I should just opt in for spousal visa but we aren’t sure if that’s possible or if it spousal visa will be granted. PS: we are Gay partners

I don't see why you can't. The only point I see is that you might not currently have your passport with you. Or do you?
Mostly when one applies for asylum, the home passport is taken off you by the HO.
But you would need a passport to apply for a spouse visa.
So are you saying you're no longer in danger fro your home country?
