Australian Skilled - Independent Visa (subclass 175) - PR

Dear Friends,

I am from INDIA & I have one concern regarding filing the Australian Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass-175) (Permanent Residency).
I enquired with a mara registered agent from Mumbai (India) regarding the terms & conditions required for filing it & he told me following things..

I being an Engineering Graduate(BE) in Electronics & Telecommunication and having work exp of 4 years in IT industry as Software Engineer(as SAP Consultant) isnt enough for applying for that visa. He explained me that either I should have overall of 6 years software industry experience to proceed further or it will take next 2 years of visa processing if I apply now.
He also said that if I were an BE in Computers then it would have worked for me at this moment.

Does Australian Immigration department take into consideration graduation stream (Say BE in Computers or Electronics) ? Does the visa processing time vary as per graduation stream ?

Please guide me further..
