Baby born in UK and applying for ILR

Post by zenathsk01 » Thu May 01, 2014 10:05 am

Hi,

We are about to apply for ILR in Oct 2014. Our baby was born in UK. When we extended our visa in Oct 2012, we applied for an extension for him as well so he currently holds a Tier 1(General) dependant visa.

Do we have to apply for ILR for him? Or, should we apply for ILR for my wife and myself only at first and upon successful acceptance, then apply immediately for his British Citizenship?

Thanks for your response in advance.

Regards.

Your understanding is correct.
