baby born in uk travelling while waiting for citizenship

Hi,
i need help. we are currently waiting for my son's (born in Uk) citizenship. we applied in March, and has no news since then. We are planning to travel to our home country in Aug. and i am not sure that we will get his citizenship and british passport on time. He will have no problem going there as he has his other passport. the problem is when going back to UK. can we just make him a uk tourist visa from my home country? thanks

Possible however the visa will be rejected if the citizenship is granted in the meantime

my worried was groundless. rcvd the citizenship today by post, never got the email though
