Hi all,

I had applied for HSMP in the last week of March. I was waiting to hear from them about my Reference No. But, to my surprise I received my application back today. The reason being, the Credit card payment did not go thru. I had provided them my International Credit card details and I'm still puzzled as to why it did not go thru. I have not spoken to my CC company yet. Will do that on monday.

Anyway, in the hurry, without thinking properly, I faxed across the payment sheet again with a new credit card number with the Payment Reference Number as specified in the letter. This was earlier in the morning. After faxing the letter, I have been trying to talk to them and it has been impossible to get to a speak to a person.

Now my worries are:
1. Have they received my fax and are they going to process it ?
2. What is going to happen if this one also fails/does not go thru ?
3. Should I just make a Postal Order/Cheque and send my package back with the cheque ?
4. If I do so, is there a chance of being charged 'twice' ? (Postal Order and Credit card, assuming my credit card payment also goes thru).
5. If the payment on my credit does go thru successfully, where should I now send my documents to ? Doncaster or Sheffield ?

I have to re-submit my application before 2nd of May. Any quick help/advice is highly welcome from the group and moderators.

Hi -

In an effort to eliminate any confusion – you should ignore your fax that you sent because chances are HO will not process it without the application. Say if HO did process it (which I am sure they will not) then what? They have no application to pass along.

No one knows that steps that are involved between processing payment and sending your application in the queue to be reviewed. There could be some scanning or initial screening or tagging of the application of some sort.

They have a process and you should try not to interrupt the process. Just resend everything again.. with the correct numbers or alternate method of payment maybe...and be patient.
