Bank Statement for income requirement

Hello,
I have two questions regarding bank statements (to show salary credit entries for financial requirement of spouse visa)

1. I have been using my bank account into which salary is credited also for day to day expenses which includes a lot of small transactions. So the number of pages is very large. can I just download and submit 12 statements for the dates when salary was credited to my account (+/- 5days around it) ? You cannot uploaded an edited version of your monthly account. It has to be all or nothing.

2. Also I have been trying to locate the requirements regarding bank statements. While on google it seems to suggest we can download statements using our internet banking and upload the pdf files I am trying to locate on the official website if this is indeed acceptable but cannot see any such statement. Can someone please confirm if this is acceptable? Also if it is acceptable what all information should be present on the downloaded statement for it to be acceptable? Online copies have been accepted for many years. Paperless has been a thing for a while now. So your downloaded soft copies should be fine.

3. Also there used to be a facility some years back with VFS where they check and uploaded the documents for you when you apply. Is this still a thing? and if pdf documents are accepted, will VFS upload printouts of the pdfs? It's a business for VFS, why would they want to stop it.
