Bankrupt Fiance Visa

Post by LIGHTWEIGHT » Fri Jul 08, 2011 10:39 pm

I'm wanting to bring my foreign fiance to the UK on a fiance visa or possibly marrriage visa, however recently I have come into financial difficulty and am about to declaire myself bankrupt. I have a good job and decent income so would still be able to support us both however untill next april my pay slips will show evidence that I have gone bankrupt. Does anyone know if this will automatically get our application rejected? or will we be ok if I can still show sufficient finances to support us both?

Thanks Fred

I believe if your are in renumerative employment, you have bank statement of about three months showing regular funds, and you have suitable accommodation, i believe she will be able to secure the visa.

If she has funds herself, that could help too.

The evidence for maintenance, does not demand payslip, as you bank statement will show you salary is been paid there. If you want to provide proof that you work, you could supply work contract or letter from you employer confirming how long you have been with them, and any further reference they could provide.
