Basic CRB or an enhanced CRB for ILR

Post by rushabhjvora » Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:18 am

A basic CRB will check the national police computer and display any unspent convictions

In addition, an enhanced CRB will also display any records held with local police stations.

Can anyone please let me know what does UKBA use for ILR application?

Can moderators also mention what kind of checks are done for Tier 1 (general) extension – basic CRB or an enhanced CRB.

I am 3 months short of completing 5 years conviction period for not paying road tax. Got a fine from HMCS Loughborough via enforcement officers.

In my case, A standard disclosure scotland will come clean - is this sufficient? I'll definately declare my offence in application form.

Regards,
Rushabh

Could some one help??

I called UKBA and some one said that criminal threshold applies for Tier 1 (general) extensions as well?

however following page says it doesn't:.

Can any one confirm that Tier 1 (general) is not affected if you have a unspent offense.

I believe the UKBA only access convictions and cautions.

An enhanced CRB is where there may be additional comments that the police put on your file and are only relevant if your job means access to vulnerable people for example.

I looked at each and every post on this forum. Took me 5 to 6 hours.

I have just found a case where even a clean disclosure scotland resulted into ILR refusal

I was in an impression that if you have a clean SAR and clean disclosure scotland - you are OK for any non-recordle traffic offense.

Now I am again confused!
