My wife is interested in becoming a solicitor in England. She holds US and Irish citizenship and has a Juris Doctorate of Law from an American university. She has about three years experience as an attorney in the U.S. public sector.
I read online that qualified lawyers from overseas can apply to be transferred to the solicitors roll of England and Wales. Before she be allowed to do this she'll obvously have to successfully pass the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test
Is my wife also required to take the 12-day Professional Skills Course?
Am I missing any other requirements that need to be satisfied before she can become a solicitor in England?
Thanks!
