Being a director for another company

Post by vkctata » Tue Jan 20, 2015 8:41 pm

Hi guys

I am on Tier 1 Ent for a year and now me and some of my friends are planning to start a new business. I am wondering is it possible to be a director of a different company on Tier 1.

Please let know the possibilities of this and also do I need to submit details of both companies when I apply for extension.

Thanks in advance.

It confounds me how inconsiderate people that come here asking for help without providing RELEVANT information about the question they ask!!!! In your case you didn't say if you were on 50K or 200K (don't expect members to waste their valuable time to go and search for your previous posts).

A Tier 1 Ent visa holder can be a director on any number of companies.

If you are on 50K route, which I suppose you are on and want to use any or all of the companies' details you are director in, then the services rendered by those businesses must be at least at NQF level 4. Let's say you are a director on 2 companies, and only the first company is at NQF Level 4 and the second is not. In this case you can only use the first company's details and investment for your extension. And by the way, there is no restriction on NQF L4 even for 50K for the subsequent companies as long as you have one company at NQF L4. It's just that you can't use those for extension.

•03-Mar-2015: Interviewed separately
•05-Mar-2105: Received docs and passport with visa stamped!

My My My what we Got here again, If your time is so important why even bother landing on this board??? got nothing better to do??? like how about running your stupid business??? oh yea that must be faked, to get you a visa      !!!! and lil johny read some posts and is now an immigration expert!!!!! LMFAO

or Just trying to kill your time????

and well Poozer!!!!For your info candidates who were on PSW, Post study work Visa,(With Qualifications Already Above NVQ level 4) don't lecture them on what NVQ Level they require!!!! you just landed HERE so stay in your pants.

it's clearly evident and is apparent; that you are way over your head!!!!!! WELL WORK OUT YOUR BRAIN SON HE ALREADY HAS TIER 1 Entrepreneur VISA, Which means he already full filled tough Business requirements i.e. Advertisement, business Plans, LICENSES, insurances, business contracts etc etc in the first place "being a cab driver or running a grocery store is unacceptable to UKBA as a valid business for PSW". it's as simple as ABC or 123, so don't insult individuals intellect at this level caz you know nothing!!!!!

The whole purpose of granting Tier 1 to PSW route was to encourage investment in the UK But you wouldnt know that now would you!!!!! YOU JUST READ SOME POST WHILE APPLYING YOUR VISA

You getting the visa and sharing some of your experience here does't mean you are doing anyone a favour, its good thing to do, BUT STOP BEING A JERK!!!!

Dear Friend,

UKBA says clearly states that we do recognise that as an entrepreneur you might move on to a different business from time to time and they encourage you to do so with in terms of your VISA i.e. Investment, Job creation etc

You can be director of as many businesses as you want, there is no restriction. DO remember they know which companies you were or are director of so do mention them all on your extension.
