Belgian Cizitenship after 3 years

Post by nordmann » Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:10 pm

Hi people!

The Belgian ministry of the foreign affairs says that after at least 3 years of the legal residency in Belgium one can apply for the Belgian nationality http://www.diplomatie.be/en/services/na ... XTID=42519

My question is:

Does it mean that if I work in Belgium on work permit B for 3 years, I can then apply and get Belgian citizenship? How long does one REALLY have to live in Belgium in order to get naturalised??

Thanks a lot everyone.

That's naturalisation, one assumes there must be a period of PR before that. In UK you can naturalise after only one year assuming you've had five years on WP or whatever.
