Benefits claim

Hi
I got ILR 3months back. Recently my friend was saying why I didn't apply for benefits?

My questions are
1. Can someone tell me what type of benefit I can apply for?
2. If i claim benefit will that affect my naturalization application?
3. Is it common that everybody claims if they can?
