are the tax credits claims in joint names?

Has your wife declared your income in her benefits claims?

I don't understand how she is eligible for income support if you earn 22k.

tax credits should be made in joint names.

your wife must declare your income for all of the benefits claims (apart from child benefit as this is not means tested)- the fact that she has not done so constitutes benefit fraud. She needs to get advice on this asap inform DWP/HMRC/the local authority of your income so that the benefits can be reassessed
