Benefits of Indefinite Leave to Enter over Spousal visa?

Hello All,

From the comments to my previouspost. It appear my wife and I have to choose between waiting approximately 3 months before we qualify ILE or just go for the spousal settlement visa now.

Is there somewhere I can read the exact advantages of ILE over the regular spousal visa, apart from the obvious, not needing to apply for another visa till going for citizenship?

Any opinions, should we wait for the ILE or just go for the spousal visa?
