Biometric Acknowledgement!!!

Hi,

I provided my biometric on May 3rd. After few days, I received a call enquiring if I have enrolled for the biometric and to confirm the date.
However person on the call informed that it has nothing to do with processing of the application.

Did any other applicant got such call or any other kind of acknowledgement about their biometric. Do HO generally acknowledge the biometric data provided by applicant?
